Wilson Hampshires showed the junior division champion and the third place animal. Lee Bixler showed the second place open gilt. Reorganization Meeting Held CHAMBERSBURG (Franklin Co.) Richard Stoner, Greencas tle, was re-elected chairman of the Franklin County Conservation District board of directors at their recent reorganization meeting. Also re-elected were Vice Chairman Wilbur Kline, Mont Alto, and Secretary-Treasurer Donna Hay, Spring Run. Director Andrew Fitz, Waynes boro, was appointed to serve as Executive Council meeting repre sentative to Executive Council meetings sponsored by the Penn sylvania Association of Conserva tion Distrists (PADC). Committee appointments were also made. Directors Wilbur Kline, Clif ford Hawbaker, and Richard Ston er will serve on the Personnel Committee. Director Kline was appointed chairman of the Person el Committee. Extension Offers Management Short WESTMINSTER, Md. The Cooperative Extension Service offices in Carroll and Howard counties are inviting beef cattle producers to participate in the Central Maryland Beef Manage ment Short Course, scheduled for consecutive Tuesday nights, March 16, 23, and 30. Speakers involved in the prog ram are extension beef and lives tock marketing specialists, an Beef Course extension livestock veterinarian, and county extension agents from Maryland and Pennsylvania. Because of space limitations at the library, participation is limited to the first 60 people who register. Cost of the short course is $l5 per person or family and includes handout materials and refreshments.
