The Franciscan nun is a strong advo cate for farmers and ranchers and teaches at Silver Lake College in MV R||| HAPPENINGS Adams 4-H Family Fun Nite 4-H members 8-12 years old are invited to join in the fun at the 1993 4-H Family Fun Mite on Friday, March 12 at the New Oxford Elementary School. The evening will begin with registration at 6:4S p.m. and con clude at 9 p.m. Each 4-H’er attending will become a member of a group named after an international country and move with teen counselors to the six different planned games. The evening will focus on “A Small World” theme with the planned games originat ing from different fore ign countries. Teen 4-H members serve as group leaders and games lead ers for the evenings activities. Parents arc invited to attend too. While the members are participat ing in the game activi ties for the night, parents are invited to attend a session on 4-H opportunities conducted by Jared Tyson, Adams County 4-H agent. The discussion will include activities and programs that are available in 4-H for 4-H members and their families. She chides farmers for non-use of power, which she says is lacking in the industry, but which is neces sary for success. Sister More, who is recuperat ing from back surgery, was extremely happy when informed about the scholarship. “You have made this a memorable day,” she told Ibendahl. The DAA was organized in 1992 to provide scholarships to women pursuing careers related to agriculture. Scholarships are LINCOLN SUPPLY & EQUIPMENT CO.
