HARRISBURG (Dauphin Co.) Forty-two agricultural research projects have been funded by the State Department of Agriculture for the current fiscal year, accord ing to Agriculture Secretary Boyd E. Wolff. The contracts, mostly for three year projects, were awarded to The Pennsylvania State Universi ty, University of Pennsylvania, Delaware Valley College and Rodale Research Institute. They were selected by the Ag Research Committee, comprised of House and Senate Agriculture Committee members and rep resentatives from the State Department of Agriculture. A research advisory committee reviews suggestions for research projects each year from the state’s agricultural organizations. Four separate projects are near ing completion. They include 42 State Ag Projects Receive Funds Post-Harvest Fruit Loss (Penn State, $209,838), Peach Adapta tion in Pennsylvania (DVC, $29,900), Greenhouse IPM (Penn State, $34,380), and Insecticide Usage for Potato Pests (Penn State. $28,825).
