    S;C. Entry Takes Guernsey Gold
REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio
The seventh annual Guernsey
Gold Futurity was held recently at
the North American International
Livestock Exposition. Judge Jim
Lewis of Orient, Ohio, presided
over the Guernsey royalty in the
show.
The winner of the 1992 Guern
sey Gold Futurity was Melldoro
Fayette Tammy, owned by Nikki
Cohen of Unior, S.C. An 83-point
“Fayette” daughter„‘Tammy” has
17.200 M, 837 F, and 653 P at 2-06
in 36S days.
She was presented with a cham
pagne cooler donated by Ed, and
Shirley Wright of Saginaw, Mich.,
and the first place banner spon
sored by E.R. Berousek of Yukon,
Okla. ‘Tammy” also received the
best udder award, a basin milk
pitcher donated by Four Winds

first place junior exhibitor award,
a mirrored picture frame donated
by Branstetter Dairy, Edmonton,
Ky.
The first runner-up and best
bred and owned was LDF Beautys
Star Belle, owned by Craig Leh
man of Hartville, Mo. This “Fay
ette” daughter scored 86 pdints at
her 3-05 appraisal, her dam has
18.130 M, 669 F, 618 P at 5-06 in
303 D. “Belle” received a revere
bowl donated by R-Way Farm,
Southington, Ohio.
Winning the high milk, fat and
protein awards was OCS Dairy
Daisys Diadora, owned by O.
Clay Smith of Jefferson, Md.
Diadora was awarded with a silver
water pitcher donated by Ameri
can Breeders Service for the high
est milk production; a silver
footed tray-sponsored by Marfrcd

cheese tray donated by Tri State
Milk Cooperative for the highest
protein production.
Twin Brook Fayette Tinker,
owned by Jonathan McMurray of
Eighty Four, Pa., received the high
cow performance index award, an
octagonal wall clock sponsored by
Bay Meadow Farms.
A patriotic theme sparked the
opening of this year’s show.
Tamara Branstettec, Martin of
Edmonton, Ky.; sang the national
anthem. National Guernsey Queen
Stacey Guyton performed a skit
during the intermission of the
show. Dressed in a red, white and
blue jumper that reflected the
theme of the event, Guyton sang
patriotic songs with a “Guernsey
twist!’ to them.
