The Grosses started with three Holstein beef calves in 1989 and have expanded to 165 head. They concentrate on raising cattle in the most cost efficient manner possi ble and can currently feed calves to market weight within 20 to 22 months. Both are active in farm organi zations, with Steve chairman of the Young Farmer and Rancher Com mitteem fo the York County Far mers’ Association and Becky serv ing as vice president of the Penn’s Agri-Women.
