Sanner and three other young women, all looking their prettiest, competed to reign over the county fair and to represent Somerset County in the upcoming state contest. Julie Sines, Meyersdale, was the first runner-up. The other con testants were Christian Gardner, Somerset and Sharon Platt, Berlin. Each contestant is now a high school senior. Sanner, the daughter of Lynn and Debra Sanner, was sponsored by the Milkshakers 4-H Club.
