Globe Run Starbuck Beverly Supreme At Morrison Cove LINDA WILLIAMS Bedford Co. Correspondent MARTINSBURG (Blair Co.) After two days of show ing cattle, livestock judge John Howard recently chose Globe Run Staifouck Beverly, a 3-year-old Holstein belonging to John Foster IB of Globe Run Farms, as the supreme grand champion of the Morrison Cove Dairy Show. It marked the third year a supreme champion was chosen at the show, held in Martinsburg. Reserve supreme champion was Ralaine legend Pinata, owned by Ralaine Jerseys of Everett RD 3. In third place was a Guernsey from the Snider Farm in New Enterprise. “If all Guernseys look like this cow, Holsteins would be in trouble,” said judge Howard. Foster’s 3-year-old also cap tured the senior champion titles. Reserve honors went to Ross Hershberger of Woodbury with a red and white aged cow. The junior champion honors went to Rocky Side Farm and Holstein reserve junior champion was Charann Foster, of Globe Run. The Goshems of Blairs Mills took all honors in Milking Shor thorn competition with the excep tion of Jason Heeler who placed second in summer yearlings and Christiana Booth, third, in 3-year olds. Wade Burket, ML Union RD 1, and Robert Fritz, Garrett RD 1, took honors in the Brown Swiss division. Joe Stitt’s entry was the junior champion and Robert Fritz had the reserve junior champion. Snider Homestead Farms took all top honors in the Guernsey divi sion. A 5-year-old owned and shown by Aaron Gable was the grand champion. Aaron also took junior awards Ralaine Jerseys of Everett RD 3, and Craig and Susan Wicker took top honors in Jersey competition. Turning the tables, Wickers the champion title in junior competi tion and Ralaine, reserve. The supreme dairy cows of the Morrison Cove dairy show are a Jersey and a Hols tein. John Foster 111 stands with his supreme champion Holstein, while Lori Sollenber ger holds the halter of her reserve champion Jersey. Also shown are Blair County Dairy Princess Jennifer Frederick and Bedford County Dairy Princess Leslie Fetter.
