Barbara Banbury and Walt Johnson noted sheep producers and judges, of Ohio judged the sheep. Hie sale is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Sheep and Wool Growers Association. DeWitt Evans of Jamestown, Ohio and Gary Saylor of Belle Center, Ohio were the auctioneers. The show and sale were managed by David L. Haipster, Boalsburg. The supreme champion ram Farmers’ Association GETTYSBURG (Adams Co.) The Adams County Farmer’s Association (AGFA) is a local organization which is active in community affairs and is a lobby ing group for the farming com munity. It also offers business ser vices to its members. AGFA is a general farm organi zation with approximately 900 family members. It is also affil iated with the Pennsylvania Far mers’ Association. “A special invitation has been issued to all farm family members and friends of the farming com munity to attend the annual sum mer picnic," said President Dave Wenk of the local group. During this year’s activities, special events have been planned. The program services and their representatives will be on hand for questions and concerns from the members. The picnic will be held on Tues day, July 28, at the South Moun tain Fairgrounds, Arendtsville, beginning at 7 p.m. Each family member is requested to bring their own table service and a covered dish to pass. The Association will provide the meat, roll, and beverage. Door prizes and special awards will be presented by Chairman Dave Gladfelter. Don Sumnmers, a 4ih grade sci ence teacher at the Bermudian Springs Elementary School, will be on hand to give a presentation on his experiences at the teacher workshop conducted by the Penn sylvania Foundation for Better Living. The top selling consignment was a Polled Dorset early fall ewe lamb, consigned by Saylor’s Polled Dorsets of Belle Center, Ohio.
