The market tone was mostly steady to instances fully steady. Demand was best where retail promotional activity was either planned or in progress. Supplies were usually suffi cient although in tome areas product was being held with a bit more confidence. Breaker demand was mixed at additional offerings were held for higher values. Movement cf ready-to-cook whole birdi was light to fair and about normal for mid week activity. Supplies and offerings were adequate to ample and in heaviest balance on under 3 pound sizes. Less than tnicklot asking prices were unchanged at 55 to 62 cents but some lighter weight birds were slow-to clear at discounted price levels. Live supplies were moderate. Weights were light to desirable and cooler weather in local production centers was expected to shortly increase overall sizes. Slaughter schedules were heavy. Tilde sentiment wu steady at best.
