Seven years ago Amy Nyman
was alternate dairy princess for
Centre County. Now, at 23 years of
age, Amy Nyman wears the dairy
princess crown for the same
county.
From her perspective, the past
seven years have enabled her to
gain much more knowledge about
the dairy industry. In return, she

State College.
Although she grew up on her
parents’ SO-acre farm in Howard,

Amy said. “Now that I’m older, I
see there is much mote to the dairy
industry than milking cows.”
One point that Amy would like
to stress to consumers is the quality
assurance standards that a farmer
must follow to assure the consum

She said, “These standards must
be followed before the farmer
feeds his cow until the milk leaves
his farm.”
Another point that Amy intends
to stress is to have the consumer
