Eleven FFA members from across Pennsylvania will serve as the 1992-1993 state offic ers. They were selected last week at Penn State during the summer convention. Throughout the next year, they will represent the 7,500 Pennsyl vania members in statewide-activ ities, the State President’s Confer ence in Washington, D.C., and the National Convention in Kansas City, Mo. The new president is Mandy Hilbert of Littlestown. Mandy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Har ry Hilbert and is a 1992 graduate of Littlestown High School, where her chapter advisor was Jeff Morse. Her chapter activities included president and secretary, creed and public speaking contest, and member of die parliamentary procedure team. She attended the Washington Conference and Made for Excellence Programs. Other activities include beef industry representative. State Cat tlemen’s Queen, 4-H ambassador and lay speaker for her church. State Vice President is Michael Common or Carlisle. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Conunan. Michael graduated from Big 11 FFA’ers Spring High School in 1992, where his chapter advisor was Vicki Lantz. He served as chapter vice president, parliamentarian, and Jr. vice president. He also served as area vice-president He was involved in FFA activities such as creed contest and public speaking, livestock judging, and record book contest. He also belonged to the 4-H County Coun cil, and the 4-H sheep and swine clubs. Ben Ehrhatt will serve as the eastern region vice president He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Ehrhart from Narvon. His FFA Advisor is Clair Witwer and he graduated from Pequea Valley High School in 1992. Ben served as vice president and secretary of his local chapter, and secretary of the county association. Other FFA activities included delegate to the state convention, member of vari ous chapter committees, public speaking, wildlife, and aquatic resources contests. Toy Tractor STATE COLLEGE (Centre Co.) The Pennsylvania FFA Foundation is now selling the first toy tractors in a collector’s series of limited edition FFA tractors. The first edition FFA tractor, now available for shipment to custom ers is a Farmall 350 stamped with the identifying #1 in the keystone emblem for the first edition. Funds from the profits of this project are earmarked for the foundation’s endowment program. Tractors are being sold through two primary sources according to Dwight Woelkers, Foundation Trustee and Chairman of this pro ject. Local FFA chapters can sell to individuals with delivery being made by chapter members.
