The 1992 edition of the Lebanon County Dairy Princess Pageant will be held Saturday, June 13, at the Lebanon Vo-Tech School. The festivities will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the contest followed by the crowning of the 1992 Princess, Dairy Maid, and LiT Miss, There will be plenty of ice cream and refreshments followed the coronation. Following are short introduc tions to this year’s contestants for Dairy Princess: Angela Baker, 16, is the daughter ot Robert and Ann Baker, Lebanon. Angela will be a senior at Lancaster Mennonite High School this fall where she is currently serving as FFA president and is the goal keeper for the hockey team. She is also a member of Who’s Who Among American High School students. Angela is also president of her church youth group. She enjoys hunting, sports, skiing, collecting Holstein cows, draw ing, and volleyball. Stacy Habecker is the second contestant for Dairy Princess. Habecker is the 18-year-old daughter of Mark and Darlene Habecker, Palmy ra. She will graduate from Palmyra High School in June and plans to attend college this fall. Her high school career was filled with activities such as Peer counseling, SADD, Varsity choir. National Honor Society, and Outdoor education counseling. Stacy is also active in 4-H and in her church where she sings in the choir and teaches Sunday School. Stacy also enjoys playing piano, volleyball, singing, reading, and volunteering with the elderly. This year’s Dairy Maid contest has one entry. Kathy Habecker is also the daughter of Mark and Darlene Habecker. Kathy is in eighth grade and is involved in chorus, track, and serves as a teachers aide. She is also active in 4-H, Jr. Hols tein Club, peer helpers, and her church youth group. Kathy says she would like to be Dairy Maid because she likes meeting new people and experiencing new things. She also enjoys prom oting dairy products. The final competition of the evening will be the Lil’ Miss contest. There are four contestants in this part of the pageant. They are as follows; Jenny Maulfair is the 6-year-old daughter of Dale and Pattie Maulfair, Jonestown. Jenny has 2 brothers and 1 sister. She showed her first calf at the fair last year. She also has a bunny named Snowball arid enjoys playing with her Barbie dolls. Charity Brubaker is the 6-year-old daughter of Ron and Joy Brubaker, Lebanon. Her family farms 100 acres and milks 60 cows. Charity loves to play with ho* pet cat Muffy. She rides bike around the farm, and plays with her younger brothers. She also likes when her Mom reads books to her. Audrey Hitz is the 5-year-old daughter of Steve and Cindy Hitz, Lebanon. Her parents farm 110 acres and milk 40 Holsteins. Audrey loves to help her Mom with her baby sister. She likes chocolate marshmallow ice cream, swing ing, feeding cows, and riding bike. She enjoys singing and helping to put the cows in the barn. Janelle Zimmerman is the 6-year-old daughter of Jay Calvin and Thelma Zimmerman, Leba non. Her family lives on a 200-acre farm and milks 160 Holsteins. Janelle enjoys helping on the farm wherever she can, especially feeding the calves. She loves going to Sunday School, help ing her Mom with the dishes, and taking care of her pet cat. Grey.
