Two other people came to the box and sat down in front of us. All of us kept whispering back and forth among each other that we had seen those people before and were trying to figure out which movie stars they were. At intermission, the lights came on, focused on our box and the play director introduced those two people to the audience. They were the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. As soon as they were seated again, the Duchess turned around, looked at us and extended her hand. I’ll never forget that night. And I’ll never forget that the price of the box scat that night was 518.46.
