Not pictured: Brenda Wolfgang. Montgomery County Youth Win 4-H Awards Excitement was high at the 4-H Center in Creamery. It was the evening of the Montgomery County 4-H dairy awards banquet. This event was planned and conducted by club officers Paul Plummer, president; Danielle Breaux and Karen Wolfgang, vice presidents; Amy Plummer, secretary: and Jonathan Sterner, treasurer, along with leaders Eleanor Kopistecki, Nona Breaux, and Greg Moser. Showmanship and fitting awards were given in three categories; senior, intermediate, and junior. Receiving showmanship trophies were Brenda Wolf gang and Jonathan Sterner, Bechtelsville, and Zachary Quigley, Lansdale. Reserve showman were Paul Plum mer, Chalfont, Karen Wolfgang, Bechtelsville, and Lizzie Moser, Gilbertsville. Winners of fitting awards were Paul Plummer, Jonathan Sterner, and Charts Alderfcr, Harleysville. Reserve fitting awards went to Brenda Wolfgang, Katie Sterner, Bechtelsville, and Zachary Quigley. Master of ceremonies, extension agent Tim Fritz, pre sented the Top Show Award to Jonathan Sterner for over all achievement at diet Montgomery County 4-H Dairy Show. Owner-breeder awards were presented to Danielle Breaux, Salfordsville, and to Brenda Wolfgang. Brenda was recognized for her achievement in being selected as a delegate to the National 4-H Congress former presentation of an outstanding record in personal develop ment. The club presented a check to the 4-H Development Fund to help with her traveling expenses. Brenda is the daughter of Robert and Gail Wolfgang, and is a student at the State University of New York, Cobleskill. Rosenberger’s Dairy sponsored a new award for most improved individual. Bob Brown of Rosenberger’s pre sented the plaque to Jonathan Sterner, son of George and Linda Sterner. Danielle Breaux was awarded a plaque for completing two years in the Teen Leader Program. New members welcomed to the club were Leah Seipt, Lansdale; Sean Hallowell, Bechtelsville; and Christine Michalik, Sellersville. For having the highest project scores, awards were pre sented to senior Brenda Wolfgang; intermediate Amy Plummer of Chalfont; and junior Michelle Hilmer, Harlcysville. Karen Wolfgang, Danielle Breaux, and Lizzie Moser were selected for Spirit awards for active involvement and enthusiasm in club activities. HAPPENINGS •ge. The celebration will be recog nized in the form of a Winross 4-H 75th anniversary truck. The col lector’s item limited edition truck is available on a prepaid basis at $45 a truck for non-4-H members/ leaders. Delivery is scheduled for March, 1992. The 4-H truck is an excellent memento for 4-H alumni and friends alike.
