Pen nsylvania Junior Jersey Breeden will be meet ing in Harrisburg on Sept 22, the evening before the State Junior Dairy Show, to discuss upcoming programs and activities. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in room C of the Pennsylvania State Farm Show Complex. At the meeting, junior directors and leaders will discuss many activ ities including the junior herd trip to the Louisvil le show, a bus-trip also to the Louisville show, and state and national awards. The trips to Louisville, KY, center around the National Jersey Show and Activi ties held from Novem ber 9 to 12. Participants in the herd trip spon sored by the PJJCC, are selected at the State Junior Dairy Show. The trip, both fun and educa tional for all particip ants, has been an annual event for many years. In addition to taking a slate herd to Louisville, Jersey juniors that do not qualify animals for the show will be able to join a bus-load of other Jersey enthusiasts to see the show and activities. The bus will leave Pen nsylvania on Friday, Nov. g and return on Monday, Nov. 11. Cost details are still being arranged and will be shared with juniors at this meeting. Juniors will also hear about several state and national awards for which they can com pete. The PJJCC annu ally selects Junior and Senior Achievement Awards, recognizes production records, and gives awards for scrap books.
