The Delaware Valley Old Time Power and Equipment Association is holding its 14th Annual Days of thePasteventSept.2l and Sept 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., each day, at Washington Crossing State Park. The park is located at Route 579 and Church Road in Titusville. Scheduled are working displays of wood cutting, shingle making, com shelling, etc. Also, a parade of antique tractors, cars and farm equipment is to be held each day. This year, the organizers will not hold a garden tractor pulling contest, however, a pedal tractor pulling contest for youth is to be held. In addition, a flea market is also scheduled. Among the displays, a Lane 56-inch sawmill restored by club members will be in operation. The sawmill is to be powered by a 1913 32-horsepowcr Frick steam trac tion engine, which is owned by Coles Roberts. In addition, the club’s 1918 Avery gas tractor is to be used for a display on threshing wheat. There’s also to be a museum set up in the park barn displaying anti que household items, advertising signs and literature and small, farm-related items. New Jersey exhibitors are welcome. Deadline Nears ALLENTOWN (Lehigh Co.) — The Lehigh County Agricultural Land Preservation Board is now accepting applications for the sec ond 1991 funding round of the Lehigh County Aricultural Con servation Easement Program. Through this prog ram, qualified Lehigh County farmland own ers can apply to sell their development rights to the commonwealth and county. Agricultural conservation easements are placed on the land, perpetually protecting the land from nonfarm development. To date, Lehigh County has received stale approval for the preservation of three farms totaling 427 acres. Eight county landowners have accepted conservation easement purchase offers from the Lehigh County Agricultural Land Preservation Board ranging from $1,700 to $3,400 per acre. The deadline for sub mitting an application for the second 1991 funding round is Mon day, Sept. 30.
