ANSWER—Mrs. James Ollinger of Lancaster would like a recipe for “Moravian Buns," sometimes called small cakes. Thanks to Cathy Unger of Nazareth for sending the recipe. Moravian Love Feast Buns 4!4 to 5 cups flour 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon salt 2 packages dry yeast 'A cup butter 2 eggs Vz cup mashed potatoes 3 A cup water In a large bowl, combine 1 cup flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. In a saucepan over low heat, heat water and but ter until very warm. With mixer at low speed, gradually pour liquid into dry ingredients: beat until just mixed. Increase speed to medium; beat 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Beat in eggs, mashed potatoes, and 3 A cup flour to make a soft dough. Knead dough on floured board until smooth and elas tic, about 10 minutes. Shape into ball and place in large greased bowl; turn dough over so top is greased. Cover with towel; let rise in warm place with no draft, about 1 hour. On floured surface, cut dough into 12 equal pieces. Shape each into a ball, place on greased cookie sheet and flatten slightly. Cover with towel, let rise again until doubled. With a sharp knife, cut “M" in center of each ball. In small pan, melt 2 tablespoons butter, use to brush top of buns. Bake until lightly browned: remove to wire racks to cool. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Makes 12 buns. CONCEALED FASTENERS WATER TIGHT DOUBLE LOCK APPLICATION MILLER DIESEL INC.
