NATIONAL EGG MARKET - AT A
GLANCE: Prices were unchanged. The
market tone was steady. Demand was fair
to good, mostly moderate to fairly good as
restocking and features provided the best
movement. Supplies were usually adequate
with some shortages of graded large and
extra-large. Inter-dealer trades were gener
ally at steady terms. Breakers received
more shell egg offerings at unchanged
prices.

PARTS: PART I OF 2: FEDERAL
STATE: Tracklot buying interest was mix
ed and selective and fairly good overall.
Supplies of boneless skinless breasts were
adequate and generally well balanced at
today’s higher prices. Whole breasts were
adequate to barely adequate and spot trades
were noted with premiums. Legs were
adequate. Leg quarters were no more than
adequate for the fairly heavy retail promo
tions in place. Wings remained short, parti
cularly yellow supplies. Thighs and drums
were at least adequate; however, buyers
interest centered more on thighs and some
sellers offered package deals on both
items.

DELMARVA BROILER FRYER
MARKET: FEDERAL/STATE: Move
ment of ready-to-cook broiler fryers was
fairly good today. Supplies were adequate
for immediate needs. Less than trucklot
asking prices were competitive at 48-62
cents. Live supplies were adequate. Aver
age live weights ranged desirable to heavy.
Processing schedules were heavy. Trade
sentiment was fully steady. In the parts
complex, supplies of wings were tight,
dark meat and whole breasts were barely
adequate to adequate. Boneless skinless
breasts were adequate.
