READ WHAT Forage Program * 30-35 lbs. Corn Silage * 14-15 lbs. Alfalfa Hay “With the lower quality hay forages I had last year, I decided to try a suggestion I heard at Sensenig’s Dairy meeting. I fed heavier on the Testmaker 18 HF (about 6 pounds more) and I pulled back on my flaked dairy at the same time and my cows picked up right away. They really just took off lln April, I had 7 cows with 105 lb. aver age and they all held their backfat and most were bred back at the end of July. “The cows’ have good appetites and they clean up their feed. I have nothing to com plain about with my butterfat tests. My butterfat has been running consistant the last couple of years while my production is increasing. From two years ago when I started with Sensenig’s Feed Mill, I’m up a good 1500 pounds on my herd average.” A Sincere THANK YOU To The Above Master Dairymen For Their Time And Effort. Com Silage *l5 lbs. Alfalfa Hay “The first two years I fed Master Mix ProTek, I gradually increased my produc- tion. This last year I switched my topdress from Testmaker 18 High Fat to Testmaker 18 Hi Peak and I saw the most increase. I also have better breeding by feeding the Hi Peak and the body condition on my cows is a lot better than it was this time last year. “In my last year, my herd average went from 18,300 to 20,200 with my butterfat staying the same and my pounds of fat increasing. I started to feed Hi Peak in mid January and the cows were averaging 60 lbs. of milk with a 3.8 test. By mid February the cows were averaging 70 lbs. of milk with a 3.7 test. They continued to hold that production for four months until I turned them out on pasture when they dropped to averaging 67.5 lbs. of milk with a 3.6 test. I can’t complain about the service at Sensenig’s; in fact they have super service!” Forage Program * 30 lbs. Corn Silage * 15 lbs. Alfalfa Hay “A year ago, my production was very good; however, I struggled with maintaining backfat on my highest producing cows. This year I switched from Testmaker 18 HF to Testmaker 18 Hi Peak. The Hi Peak pellets are holding the backfat on my cows a lot better than a year ago. My production on the Hi Peak is also very good. I averaged over 70 lbs. for 3 months and my butterfat stayed the same. My breeding is good, too, with my higher production. “I can’t complain about appetites. I think they eat really good. I also feed grain four times a day. Since using Hi Peak, I do not have to overfeed grain in late lactation like a year ago. I think I’ll just stick to feeding Hi Peak.” THURMONT COOPERATIVE Thurmont, MD 21788 (301) 271-7321 MAUGANSVILLE FEED SERVICE Maugan*vlll*, MD 21767 (301) 791-5288 DAIPY FFFH I I latlMildr Grain Program * Sensenig’s Custom Flaked Dairy made with Master Mix ProTek® * Topdress Testmaker 18 Hi Peak™ Grain Program * Sensenig’s Custom Flaked Dairy made with Master Mix ProTek® * Topdress Testmaker 18 Hi Peak™ SENSENIG FEED MILL New Holland, PA 17557 (717) 354-4756 HOKE MILLS INC.
