Junior Holstein be a pizza and swimming party. On Saturday, the dairy bar will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering many dairy snacks. The dairy bowl contest will begin at 8:30 a.m., and last most of the day; the final will be at 3:15 p.m. For the Juniors not participating in the dairy bowl contest there will be tours, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. of Plushanski Farms, Rolhrock Golden Holsteins, and Junge Farms. This year there will be two workshops on fitting cattle and embryo transfer. The annual meeting will be held at 4 p.m., followed by a buffet din ner at 5:30 p.m. As entertainment for the buffet there will be a hypnotist. At 8 p.m. a movie will be shown, then DJ Tim Schafer will help rock the night away! Don’t forget the lip sync contest, get your group ready to perform. After a few hours of sleep, Sun day morning will bring the awards banquet, with guest speaker Mike King. The dairy bar will also be open Sunday morning. This year, there will be an art contest. The contest will be split into two divisions, ages 9-14 and ages 15-21. Each division will have two separate categories, photos and sketches of paintings. Prizes will be awarded to winners of each division. Winners will be determined by peoples’ choice and a critics’ impression There is a one entry per Junior limit for this contest. Last year’s conven tion drew a larger atten dance that the ’B9 con vention, and this year, Holstein Juniors will be bigger and belter than ever. FI i
