DHIA Training Coordinator I am excited about the number of positive things that are taking place within the PA DHIA system. One of my key responsibilities is to communicate these things in a umely manner. One positive plus is our work ing relationship with Lancaster Farming. Because of this, we are able to produce our semi-annual newsletters on these pages. The next one will be December 15. Don’t miss this issue as much space will be devoted to year-end data from our recently completed testing year. There will be tables, graphs and production figures from all breeds. We will be featuring pro files of DHIA members who are doing an excellent job of herd management, supervisors who have been recognized for superior performance, and an introduction to the new heifer management program, SPECIAL PRICES NOW THRU DECEMBER 29th! We have fea tured numerous articles on herd management, reading DHIA records and type testing programs. Writers have included county extension agents, Penn State extension personnel, veterinarians and DHIA staff persons.
