Johnson said that he will initially focus attention on the continued deve lopment of the Osborne-designed Porcode feeding station which will soon be ready for release. Blanchardville, Wis., will discuss how to earn a living entirely from sheep. Wood and his family have developed specific forage/animal production systems and marketing strategies for a profitable small flock enterprise. The Penn State forage-analysis van will be at the symposium December 7 and 8. A workshop will be held on how to interpret and use the feed analysis report in lamb and winter ewe feeding programs. Producers should bring their forage and grain supplements for analysis. The $8 per sample charge could result in substantia] savings in winter feed costs.
