They received one fourth place and three second-place rib bons in other contest classes. “I just enjoy riding,” Baile said. “It’s rewarding that my horse does well despite the carnival atmosphere.” Tammy Grieve, 15, of Mount Airy, Frederick County, and Bran dy Archambo, 15, of Galesville, Anne Arundel County, dominated the senior events, winning three blue ribbons each. Members worked as tour guides for elemen tary students in the Har risburg area. Members working at the show included Jere Lehman, Brian Wal lace, Mike Keller, Nathan Seyfert, George Steiner, Brian Norn hold, and Kris Shultz. The tour included identifying the six diffe rent breeds of dairy cattle and showing how a cow is milked. The All-American Show is one of the top three dairy shows in the country. The elementary stu dents were then treated to milk, and at the con clusion of the tour were given coloring books. The children went home with a new knowledge of the dairy industry and found out that the milk they drink doesn’t really come from the store. Two Cedar Crest FFA members won rib bons with their dairy animals in the junior show. Ammon Peiffer placed second with his intermediate yearling heifer and received a master showman rib bon. Jason Krall placed third with his intermedi ate heifer calf.
