Heidi Minner Wears Mercer County Dairy Princess Crown CAROLYN HILSDON GILLES Crawford Co. Correspondent NEW WILMINGTON (Craw ford Co.) — On June 28, at the Mercer County Extension Center, Heidi Minner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Minner of New Wil mington was named the 1990 Mercer County Dairy Princess. Heidi, a senior at West Middlesex High School, owns ten animals on her family farm. West Branch Holsteins. Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Dana Schroyer from WKTX Radio in Mercer. Schroy er interviewed each of the 21 young ladies in the Parade of Future Dairy Princesses, a new feature to the Mercer County Dairy Pageant to kindle interest in future pageants. For her pre sentation, Heidi presented “Mazi -- the Real Lady.” She entered dressed as a Mazi the cow and spoke about the difference between real and imitation milk products. With Milk” with the message “Milk is fitness you can drink.” The question for each girl was: “Why do you want to be a spokes person for milk in the 1990 s?” Heidi answered. “To increase the awareness of what’s in milk and why it’s needed.” Jennifer called it an “important drink” say ing, “People needed to know the advantages of drinking it.” Onalee said milk was important to every body.
