The Middle Atlantic Milk Marketing Association advertises and promotes milk and other dairy products on behalf of nearly 5,000 dairy farm families Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Virginia, and West Virginia. MAMMA is a regional affiliate of the United Dairy Industry Association. And Day’s trouble with Knight’s selection was based on how the top two cows walked and carried themselves Day claimed the number two cow sat back too far when she walked. He requested that the two cows be made to walk again. And so they were. And Knight conceeded that Day’s point was valid, that he hadn’t seen the difference in walk. But he added that the thinner legged cow, that apparently walked better, would probably not last as long for the fanner that the stronger-legged cow would be the better choice. But there was nothing but admi ration for Day in having the confi dence to speak out and make a decision. That was what they were all there to get better at doing.
