EtMancaster Farming, Saturday, May 5,1990 Sale Reports SMOKETOWN QUALITY DAIRY SALES A Public Sale of the herd of David King of Chester County, Pa. was held April 26 at the Smoketown Quality Dairy Sales, Smoke town, Pa. on Route 340. The average of the 21 cows sold was $1546 and this included 10 registered, 4 ID and 7 grades. The top cow sold for $3200 and she was a V.G. 88 five year old Chairman daughter and her dam was good plus 83 point Marquis. The second high price was $2500 for a V.G. 87 four year old Rotate daughter bred to Leadman and her dam was V.G. 85 Orion. The third high animal brought $2OOO and was a good plus 81 Gemini daughter. ID grades sold for $l9OO and $l5OO. Two registered Jerseys sold for $llOO each and two other registered Jerseys sold for $990 each with others bringing $975 and $lOOO.
