Berks County Ag Baby Welcomed Debra Fegley didn't even realize it was Ag Day when she gave birth to this beautiful baby girl. Debra is a member of Berks Farm Women Group 5. 4-H Swine Club The reorganizational meeting ot the Lancaster County 4-H Swine Club will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 12,1990, at the Lancaster Farm and Home Center. The county-wide club is a con solidation of all former communi ty 4-H swine projects into a prog ram that has improved educational efforts, member recognition, and community support. The evening’s program will include official sign-up, distribu tion of project books, explanation ot project goals, election of offic ers, and introduction of leaders. The club will hold five meet ings each year, a roundup and sale in August, and a recognition ban quet in October. Members of the club will have the opportunity to participate in livestock and meat judging programs, pork bowl and public speaking competition, and the Pennsylvania Farm Show junior swine events. Lancaster County youth between the ages of 8 and 19 years are invited to attend the organiza tional meeting. FRANKLIN COUNTY 4-H PIG CLUB The first meeting ot the Frank lin County 4-H Pig Club for 1990 was held on Monday, March 19, 1990, at the 4-H Center, Franklin Farm Lane. Officers were elected for the new year: Daren Stouffer, presi dent; Steve Stoner, vice president; Missy Bittinger, secretary; and Seth Walk, news reporter. New members will be accepted at the next meeting. Club mem bers will be purchasing their pigs ■n April to have them ready for roundup in August. The next meeting will be held on April 16, 1990. HAPPENINGS Franklin Co. Seeing Eye Puppy Club The Franklin County 4-H See ing Eye Puppy Club held a meet ing at the extension office in Chambersburg on Feb. 26. A training session was held, fol lowed by a business meeting. The club planned numerous outings. The club will be going to the Chambersburg Mall for a mall walk and has already participated in a demo for the Mason-Dixon Kennel Club. Club members will be participating in “Keep Pennsyl vania Beautiful” in April and all the club members are encouraged to participate in the 4-H Presenta tion Day. Conodoguinet 4-H Sheep Club The Conodoguinet 4-H sheep Club met on March 21,1990 at the Plainfield Fire House. Members respond to roll call by standing and saying how many years they have been in 4-H. We would like to welcome four new members to our club. They are Matt Cohick, Lynn Hoover, Taryn Rock .veil, and John Writter. Members were reminded that the candy money is due to their leader by April 15, 1990. Members received a copy of the bylaws and were made aware of changes in the bylaws. They will .vote on the changes at the next meeting. Refreshments were provided by the Berkheimer and Suffel families.
