Demand was mixed with current demand overall on the light side. However, several areas reponed a growing interest for retail promotional activity. Although supplies were in good balance with most inventories on the increase most distribu tors were confident that supplies would clear for the holidays Breakers were gen erally unaggressive concentrating on clearing existing floor slocks.
