Hormel & Company has increased its investments iirthe future of the meat industry by expanding its level of voluntary funding to the National Live Stock and Meat Board. Hormel announced that it had begun contributing $. 10 per ton of beef, pork, lamb and veal pur chased for processing, as of August 1. Hormell also will con tinue to fund the Meat Board through a voluntary slaughter checkoff, as it has for approxi mately 20 years. Upon the announcement.
