Ed Royer of Lebanon and Rebecca Sonnen, oi Richland were honored with the highest county award in 4-H based on the quality and variety of their 4-H projects and activities Beth Hoffer of Jonestown and David Lentz, of Lebanon each received $250 agriculture scholar ships sponsored by People’s National Bank. David Lentz also was honored as the recipient of the $lOO Susan Heilinger Werner Memorial Award, presented to the outstanding 4-H Dairy Club member. Honor 4-H’er awards, which recognize the efforts and achieve ments of the top three 4-H’ers in each age level, were presented. Winners of the county club officers contest included: Stacy Adams County. 4-H members participated at the 1989 Keystone Stockman’s Contest held at the Farm Show Complex on October 9. Team one placed fifth in the contest which had more than 100 teams competing from seven states. The team members and their scores were: Jason Boyer, East Berlin, 639 points; Jamie Boyer, East Berlin, 646 points; Dan Ludwig, Gettysburg, 587 points; and Seth Small, New Oxfori 487 points. Each team member received $l5 prize money provided by the Pennsylvania Livestock Producers Association. The team total was 1,872. The first-place team was Spolswood FFA with 2,112 points. Adams County 4-H members also placed in the individual rank ings as follows: Jamie Boyer received $25 for 14th place with 646 points, Jason Boyer received $2O fdr 16th place with 639 points, and Ben Stine of East Ber lin received $l5 for 26 th place with 604 points.
