full capacity of 6,000 pounds.
A new electronic digital scale available for Harvestore
system batch mixers comes with a rugged indiactor that is
made to stand up to feedroom conditions. The stainless
steel case is sealed to keep out moisture and contains a
thermostat and electric heater to maintain optimum operat
ing conditions. The scale operates from a single load cell

machine shed doors.
The disk frame is easily opened
when going from transport to field
position by removing three trans
port pins and unfolding die gangs
hydraulically. Once the two fold
ing sections are locked into Held
position, the disk is ready for
work.
The Model 696 is equipped
with 26-inch (660 mm) by
1/4-inch (6.5 mm) Earth Metal®
disk blades on 10-inch (254 mm)
spacing. These blades provide 20
percent longer wear life and 60
percent greater shock resistance
than conventional disk blades,
according to field tests.
Each of the four gangs had its
own gauge wheel to follow field
contours. Vertical adjustments can
be made for each wheel and at the
main frame to level gangs across
