In 1988, Dela ware had 23 percent of its agro nomic crops planted in no-till and 67 percent of agronomic crops in conservation tillage, according to the Conservation Technology Information Center. The Delaware No-till Council is sponsoring a field exposition in Felton on August 10, 1989, to demonstrate conservation produc tion techniques for Held crops. On display at the expo will be corn, soybeans and sorghum planted conventionally, no-till and ridge-till. Demonstrations of the newest conservation tillage equip ment also will be an integral part of the program. In addition, farmers who are adopting innovative conservation tillage techniques will be available to answer questions during the expo, scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
