In this capacity, Wolfe will con tinue her work with the breeder cooperative young sire sampling groups. In addition, she will be a liaison with the university person nel conducting research funded by the AJCC Research Foundation and encourage additional research in priority areas. Wolfe will also head AJCC NAJ staff efforts to develop new programs to encourage increased production of protein relative to fat, and explore ways to work with milk producers owning cattle less than 100% Jersey. She will also oversee the Genetic Recovery program. Cari Wolfe joined the staff in 1982 as Southeast Area Represen tative after earning a M.S. in dairy cattle breeding from North Caroli na State University. She moved to Columbus in January of 1987 to assume her IMS responsibilities. Abbott joined the staff in November of 1987 and has been effective in serving the needs of Jersey owners in the growing Great Basin milk marketing area. He has a wide range of experience in JMS activities, from handling private treaty transactions to man aging public auction sales in the Northwest for Jersey Marketing Service. Abbott and his wife, Sharyn, will relocate their home to the Columbus area in June. Scott Bentley, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, who was named Area Rep resentative for a multi-state territ ory in the Midwest in 1987, adds responsibilities as Milk Marketing Specialist for National All-Jersey Inc. In this capacity he will assist in NAJ efforts to develop and service Equity markets throughout the Eastern United States and to promote the adoption of Multiple Component Pricing in the Federal Milk Marketing Order system. Bentley will continue to pro vide on-farm service for AJCC breed programs in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland and New Jersey.
