    PFA Votes yes For .Tax Reform

HARRISBURG The leader
of the Pennsylvania Farmers’
Association (PFA) today urged
Pennsylvanians to vote “Yes” for
local tax reform in the May 16th
primary.
At a Capitol rally attended by
several hundred farmers, PFA
president Keith Eckel of Clarks
Summit, Lackawanna County,
said, “Average homeowners, far
mers and retirees on fixed in

property taxes. With tax reform,
local governments will be allowed
to cut those taxes by at least 25%
and provide tax relief to three out

Eckel further said that approval
of the constitutional amendjnent
in the upcoming primary ballot
will be a victory for good goyem
ment and fairer taxation.

situation corrected.” Eckel said,
“Tax reform is of critical impor
tance to seniors who worked a
lifetime to buy a home and then
retired at a lower income.”
Eckel said that his organization

revitalized to meet today’s needs
and the future growth of this
Commonwealth.”
PFA held the new conference in
conjunction with their annual
legislative tour to the state capitol.
