• Saves Feed. With hand feeding, there's a natural ten
dency to over feed. This system dispenses an accurate,
controlled amount each time to each sow. Feeding sows
based on litter size during farrowing can also help you to
realize addltonal feed savings.

Pre-Nursery Age Pigs
A New Idea That Can
Let You Cut 60% Of
Baby Pig Losses.
Up to 10 pigs - not more than 10 -
can be placed on this feeder until
old enough to digest dry feed
without scouring: about 3 or 4
weeks of age. We do not
recommend placing pigs less
than 2 to 4 days of age on the
feeder. Pigs must have sow's
colostrum before going on the
feeder.

The MEAL-TIME® system gives hogs
time between meals to digest feed
thoroughly so feed is fully utilized.
The MEAL-TIME 9 system has
been proven in both univer
sity and farm trials to boost
feed conversion, save water
waste, cut labor require
ments, and provide more
profit potential per hog.
■ Bigger, Healthier Utters.
Whether you're feeding
sows during gestation or
farrowing. Chore-Time's
Sow Feeding System
allows you to control the
amount of feed they
Consume - keeping your
sows In better condition
The system also can
eliminate feeding stress
caused by hand feeding.
The result: an extra 2 pigs
per sow per year.
• Longer Sow Productive
Life. Keeping sows In bet
ter
condition means keeping
them longer to get more
litters.
• Longer Equipment Life.
Each sow eats peacefully,
so you can eliminate
fighting and wear and
tear on equipment.

Water Quality
Clinics Planned
YORK If you have a prob
lem with your (Linking water, you
may consider buying water
treatment equipment. Shopping
for the right equipment can be
confusing, and owning and oper
ating it can be expensive.
‘Testing your water and defin
ing your water quality needs are
the first step in correcting a water
quality problem” says Dr. Bill
Sharpe, water specialist at Penn
State University. Many labs in
Pennsylvania provide water test
ing service. Interpretation of these
results, however, is often not pro
vided. A water-quality specialist
can assist you in selecting the
necessary water tests, interpreting
the results, and suggesting correc
tive action for water-quality
problems.
