AiS-Uncaster Farming, Saturday, January 21,1989 LANCASTER—KeIIy Town send representing Washington County Fair was crowned the 1989 Pennsylvania State Fair Queen at a luncheon here Thursday. Town send will reign over the activities of the State Association of County Fairs and attend many local fairs as an ambassador of good will. The 1988 State Queen, Joy Dippery, crowned the new queen. Runner up in the contest that had representatives from 24 local fairs in competition for the state honor was Kimberly McClymont, Wyoming County Fair. Townsend is the 18-year-old daughter of John and Jacquelyn. Townsend. The new queen is majoring in Management at Syra cuse University. She is a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. In high school, she held offices in Student Government and Tri-County Stu dent Forum. Townsend was co captain of the varsity cheerleading squad, sang in the choir and was a member of the Varsity Club and the Chartones. McClymont is the 20-year-old daughter of Connie T. McClymont and attends Buchnell University.
