Land Of Living Dominates National Guernsey Show
BY PAT PURCELL
HARRISBURG (Dauphin)
“Those of you who are breeding
Guernseys can be very proud of
yourselves and you can give
yourselves a big pat on the back;”
said Robert Griggs of Mustang,
Oklahoma, the National Guernsey
Show judge.
Griggs judged the Guernsey
show which is held in conjunction
with the Pennsylvania All-
American Dairy show five years
ago and he added that the quality of
the classes was so much deeper in
this year’s show.
Griggs was especially impress
ed with the outstanding class of
three-year-olds.
‘This is the most outstanding
class of animals which I have ever
been privileged to judge. The pair
at the top is exceptionally close,”
said Griggs.
It was from this class which
