046-Ljncaster Farming Saturday, August 13, 1988 LOUISVILLE, KY The 15th Annual North American Interna tional Livestock Exposition (NAILE) is scheduled at the Ken tucky Fair & Exposition Center (KFEC) November 5-19, Harold Workman, NAILE executive director, announced today the NAILE Executive Committee has approved a new event for the 1988 Expo. “For the first time, the NAILE will host a Wool Show,” he said. “Fleeces from 14 breeds of purebred sheep will be judged for quality, evenness, condition, char acter, length and strength. Pre miums totaling $1,550 will be awarded to the top ram and ewe fleeces in each breed, and grand champion and reserve grand champion fleeces will be selected.” Wool competition will take place during the NAILE Sheep Show, November 12-18. She said, “Fleeces entered must have been removed from purebred sheep registered in their respective Registry Associations. All wool exhibited must be shown within the year it was shorn. In addition, all fleeces entered must have been grown or sheep owned by the exhibitor and shown in his or her name.” The Wool Show entry fee is $5 per fleece. Sheep breeders must submit entries for the show by October 1, and all wool must be in place by 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 11. Entry forms may be obtained by contact ing the NAILE offices, P.O.
