In addition, both parents and youth receive praise for the effort of showing 150 head of fine dairy animals. Lancaster County Dairy Agent Glenn Shirk said the entries repre sented the fine work of many fami lies across the county. “We have a good of young people and a good group of animals in our dairy club,” Shirk said. “Everyone can learn something here today.” In the Holstein show, a pair of Elizabethtown 4-H’ers took top honors. Justin Howes won the grand champion with a tall black Sexation daughter from the five years and over class. The winner was Legacy Sexation Percy. But he used the experience as a basis to write the winning essay that recently netted him a free Holstein calf presented by the Lebanon County National Bank. The Reserve Grand Champion was shown by veteran 4-H show man Tom McCauley. Another Sexation daughter, Woodbine-ND Sexy Cindy-ET, topped the 4 year old class. Matthew Welk Peach Bottom, showed his first place senior year ling to the junior championship, and Nikelle Wivell, Columbia, fol lowed with the second place senior yearling to the reserve junior championship. In the Jersey show, Helen Arrowsmith, Peach Bottom, had all the champions except one. A stylish senior two year old, Hilla cres Top Brass Jester was the senior and grand champion. The champion is a Top Brass daughter. And Arrowsmith’s age cow Hilla- Dairy crcs Master Victoria was reserve senior and reserve grand champ ion. Tim Ulrich, Quarryvillc, had the junior champion with a first place senior yearling, and Arrows milh had the reserve junior champ ion with a first place junior calf. Brothers Steve and Scott Wag ner, Quarryvillc, showed the championships in the Guernsey show. Steve had the senior and grand champion with his senior two year old. Bo Joy Rev Molly, and Scott had the reserve senior and reserve grand champion with the three year old. Bo Joy Rev Robin. Both champions are daughters of Fre Lyn Telstar Revelation-ET. Steve also had the junior champ ion from the summer yearling class. And John Henisee, Eli zabethtown, had the reserve junior champion. The junior champion was the senior champion in the Brown Swiss show. Thomas Zartman Jr., Ephrata, showed his senior calf, Meadow Hill Johnny D Pretly-ET, to the lop. And Steven Wagner, Quarryvillc, had the reserve grand champion with his senior champ ion three year old, Marty L. Toto. The reserve senior champion was shown by Gerald Boyd, Ephrata. And the reserve junior champion was shown by Scott Wagner. In the Ayrshire show, Angela Spickler, Mt. Joy, had the grand champion with her senior yearling, St. C Johnny’s K Moon Angelique. Spickler also had the junior champion and the reserve junior champion. Dana Clark, Lititz, had the reserve grand champion with her senior two year old, Spruce Villa Hi Champ Mandy. Type judges for the show were: Robert Knutzen, Rising Sun, Md., and Earl Keefer, Millersburg.
