Lancaster County Dairy Princess
LANCASTER— The Lancaster
County Dairy Princess Pageant is
scheduled for June 18 at the Farm
and Home Center. There will be a
reception at 7 p.m: and the pageant
begins at 7:30 p.m. followed by an

DANVILLE (Montour) The
SUN Dairy Princess Pageant and
Promotion will be held June 18 at
the Susquehanna Valley Mall,
Shamokin Dam. The pageant will
begin at 7:30 P.M. in Boscov’s
Auditorium.
The contestants are Kathy Jo
Wolfe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Ernest Wolfe, R.D.#l, Milton and
Rebecca E. Cromis, daughter of
Elizabeth Cromis, Washington
ville and James Cromis, R.D. #l,
Danville. The contestants will be
involved in the promotional and
contest activities during the Dairy
Week, June 13-18.
The Dairy Princess contestants
will be judged on their pose,
maturity, speaking ability and
knowledge of the dairy industry. A
fashion show will also be a part of
the contest
Paul Cavanaugh, an announcer
for WKOK radio station will serve
as the contest’s Master of
Ceremonies.
The Dairy Princess will be
involved in numerous educational
programs, shows, fairs, store
promotions, and other activities to
promote the dairy industry and
products. One of die first promo
tions the princess will participate
in will be the awarding of gift certi
ficates for dairy products to the
families with the first baby bom on
July 1, 1988 in the following hos-

The dairy promotion activities
will begin Friday, June 17 at 6
P.M. when a GIANT ICE CREAM
SUNDAE will be built in the mall
by Turkey Hill Markets, the dairy
princees contestants and members
of the committee. Free samples of
the sundae will be given away to
visitors to the mall.

Saturday’s activities will begin
at 10:30 A.M. when the SUN Area
Dairy Princess Committee will be
giving away Chocolate Mint Milk
Drink and cheese samples.
A tent of farm animals will be
open to the public on the mall park
ing lot.
Exhibits provided by local dairy
industry producers and 4-H groups
will be on display throughout the
mall during Dairy Week, June
13-18.

farm.
