The clubs participating in the banquet were the Swine Club, Baby Beef Club, and the Sheep Club. The Sheep Club’s 1987 Shep herd of the Year was Lori Tyson of Kempton. Lori also received awards for having a champion lamb, winning junior showman ship and fitter contests. She also was honored for being the most helpful member of the Sheep Club. Other Sheep Club winners are Ruth Grim, senior showman and fitter; Timothy Hoch, reserve senior showman and fitter; Bruce Snyder, intermediate showman and fitter; Jon Voortman, interme diate showman and reserve inter mediate fitter; Stephen Breininger, reserve intermediate showman; Juliann Breininger and Laura Lazarus, reserve junior showmen; Tracy Voortman, reserve junior fitter; Calvin H. Lazarus 111, first year showman and fitter; and Scott Lazarus, champion pair of lambs. Debra Krause of Slatington received an award from the Baby Beef Club for having the champion steer and being the champion fit ter. She also was honored for being a member of the livestock judging team and reserve senior showman and for having the outstanding pro ject book.
