With the convention scheduled for February 23,24, and 25, the activi ties planned for Wednesday even ing the 24th are sure to be a high light of the three day week. The convention will be held at the new Willow Valley Family Resort and Convention Center at Willow Street, just south of Lan caster city, and its new ballroom will be the setting for sparkling entertainment by Re-Creation, a singing group of eight dynamic young performers headquartered in Pennsylvania. Re-Creation per forms over 300 performances a year throughout the United States, with music ranging from standards to contemporary to patriotic. The auction will feature a stained glass portrait of the great sire Osbomdalc Ivanhoc, created by Steve Kinney of Lost Nation, lowa. This is the fourth “portrait” created by Kinney, and he will per sonally deliver the art and help dis play it all day Tuesday and Wednesday. The portrait measures seven foot by six foot four inches, and is in a diamond shaped solid oak frame. Even the oak frame is spe cial, hand selected by Kinney from a mill where it had been aged for six years and carefully chosen so there are no knotholes. About his venture into artwork, Kinney says, “I love doing it and it’s been very good to me.” Injured in a farm accident, Kinney is par tially parahzcd. It is a sincere honor to be with you throughout the convention.” To complement the Ivanhoc portrait, the Board of Directors of Atlantic Breeders Cooperative, home of Ivanhoc, has donated two ampules of Ivanhoc semen, to be sold together, to the auction. According to chairman George Cashcll, there will be six embryos donated by Ed Dobnener, and by Dr. Alan MacCaulcy of Emtran.
