JOSEPH, MD Some 510-head of the top Angus breed ing cattle in the United States and Canada have been entered in the Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show to take place during the 1988 National Western Stock Show in Denver, January 15 and 16. This is the largest number of registered beef cattle of any breed entered for this year’s show. The Junior Angus Heifer Show scheduled for 7:30 a.m. in the Sta dium Arena will start Friday’s activities off. The 40 some head entered will be placed by judge Jim Bright, Le Grand, California. The open Angus, female show will fol low at 8:00 a.m. also in the Jim Bright and associate judge Dave Medeiros, Turlock, Califor nia, will judge the female show. The open bull show will be held on Saturday, January 16 at 9:00 a.m. in the Arena. All the major Angus events at the National Western will be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, January 14, IS and 16. Judging of Angus cattle actually begins on Thursday, January 14 in the Stadium Arena at 9:00 a.m. with the placing of the Angus sale bulls. Jay Leachman, Bozeman, Montana, will judge this event. The judging of the pens and car loads of Angus bulls will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the Livestock Center Auction Arena at the Stockyards. Judges for the 21 pens and 6 car loads will be Jim O’Neill, Logan, Iowa; Keith Russell, Platteville, Colorado; and Les Leachman, Bozeman, Montana.
