Hunter, who has been a 4-H member for 10 years, served as president and secretary of her local 4-H club. She also assisted in club activities and events as a teen leader and completed projects in pet care, veterinary science, photography, ceramics, flowers, clothing, writ ing, rabbits, cavy, crafts and wood work. She took part in county and regional Demonstrations, Capitol Days, Leadership Congress, State Days and the Keystone Interviews on the state level. Nationally, Hunter participated in Citizenship Washington Focus and Exchange Trips to Virginia, North Carolina and Colorado. The daughter of Bob and Carol Kessler, she is a sophomore at Chambersburg Area High School. Kessler, who has been-., a 4-H member for nine years, served as president, vice president, secretary and treasurer of her local 4-H club. She also assisted in club activities and events as a teen leader and completed projects in foods, clothing, goats, rabbits, wood working, flowers, dogs and embryology. She also assisted in club activities and events as a teen leader and completed projects in leadership, clothing, foods, dairy, veterinary science, careers, crafts, health, fire safety, bowling and computers. Park, who has been a 4-H member for six years, completed projects in clothing, crafts, coin collecting, child care and babysitting. Heather Peters Heather Peters, Bellefonte, (Cen tre), was named state Personal Development Award winner. Peters, who has been a 4-H member for six years, served as vice president and news reporter of her local 4-H club. Arthur Peterson Arthur Peter- Cyclone, (McKean), was named state Auto motive Award winner. The son of Art and Linda Peter- i son, he is a senior ' <' - at Smelhport Area High School. Peterson, who has been a 4-H member for seven years, served as president and vice president of his local 4-H club. He also partici pated in 4-H camp on the county and regional levels, Leadership Congress, State Days and Capitol Days on the state level. The daughter of James and Loretta Ritchie, she is a senior at Dayton Jr-Sr High and is also taking classes at Point Park College. Ritchie, who has been a 4-H member for nine years, served as president, secretary and news reporter of her local 4-H club. She also assisted with club activities and events as a song and game leader and completed projects in public speaking, horse, veterinary science, health, exploring, citizen ship, plants, tractors, foods and nutrition, arts and crafts, babysit ting and children. She took part in the horse bowl, fashion revue and Achievement Night on the county level, the regional fashion revue and demon strations, State Days and Leader ship Congress. Ritchie was honored in 1984 as Outstanding Senior 4-H Girl for Armstrong County. Aaron Rospierski Aaron Rospier ski, Washington, (Washington), was named state Wood Science Award winner. The son of \ Frank and Connie M Rospierski, he is a senior at McGuffey High School. Rospierski, who has been a 4-H member for nine years, served as president, secretary, treasurer and news reporter of his local 4-H club. He also assisted with club activities and events as a county council representative, song and game leader. Rospierski completed projects in wood science, dogs, rocketry, wildlife, forestry, pet care and leadership. He took part in the county officer’s training, regional camp and teen leader retreat On the state, level he participated in Leadership "Congress, Stale Days, Capitol Days and Pennsylvania 4-H Week. Rospierski also took part in an exchange trip to Kansas. Richard Shaffer Richard Shaf- Somerset, (Somerset), was named state Horse Award winner. << jP^I The son of Richard and Lynn Shaffer, he a graduate of Rock wood Area Senior High School. Shaffer, who has been a 4-H member for 11 years, served as president, vice president and news reporter of his local 4-H club. He also assisted with club activities and events as a teen leader and completed projects in horses, wildlife, trees, strawberries, vegetables, trail riding, physical fitness, motorcycles, riflery, archery, beef, snowmobiles and health. He took part in county and regional demonstrations, work shops and horse shows. On the state level he participated in State Days, the State 4-H Horse Show and Club Congress. He also attended the National 4-H Confer ence in Washington D.C. Damian Shiner Damian Shiner, Myerslown, (Leb- jam* anon) was named state Gertrude L. Warren Career Scholarship A- Jva ward winner.
