New Law Provides Penalty For Possessing Milk Cases HARRISBURG You see them many places in garages, basements, tracks, back of motor cycles, marinas, college dormito ries, just name it They are the col orful and unfortunately useful milk cases used by dairies to deliver milk to stores, restaurants, etc. But, using them without permis sion is illegal, can cost the user a big fine or jail sentence if convicted. Why was this law passed? “The milk industry in Pennsyl vania every year loses milk cases valued at many millions of dol lars,” said Earl Fink, Executive Vice President of the Harrisburg based Pennsylvania Association of Milk Dealers. “This ultimately must raise the price of milk to the consumers of Pennsylvania, which means those who do not illegally take these cases must help pay the bill.
