Blanchard, who was accompan ied also by his son, Noel Gueug neau of Washington, D.C., is from the Agricultural College of Vala bre in the Riviera region of France. There, he is Superintendent of Operations at the French college, specializing in grapes and grains. He observed that Del Val is four times larger than his institution, offers a wider range of majors and is better organized! He is inter ested in developing an exchange program between the two institu tions that can draw on each col lege’s strengths. Besides the interest in horticul tural products, Blanchard plans to contact persons with the French governmental stud farms concern ing an exchange that may benefit DVC’s Equine program as well. At the present time, the College offers an optional overseas term in Ger many, Switzerland and Austria as part of its two-year Associate Degree program in Equine Science. Blanchard, who is a guest of Peggy Brakso, Doylestown, vis ited DclVal through the efforts of the Agribusiness Department. While in the area, they visited the Buckingham Valley Winery and made plans to tour the National Agricultural Research Center in Beltsville, MD.
