You can haul 10 cu. ft. more than some other spreaders in this class * 50 FT. SPREAD WIDTH Get more done faster than spreaders offering only a 40 ft pattern. * BIGGER TIRES The four 12.5 L xl5 8 ply flotation tires have a total rated capacity of 13,840 lbs. * FLOATING TANDEM SUSPENSION The floating tandem suspension provides better weight distribution and terrain adjustment than a ' spring and shackle suspension. * STAINLESS STEEL Heavy gauge stainless steel is used in all critical corrosion areas to minimize maintenance costs. •K* GEARBOX FAN DRIVE The 24” distributor fan is powered through a rugged gearbox driven with the standard 540 rpm tractor pto. We’ve avoided pulleys and belts to drive the fan so you have fewer maintenance problems. CHAIN & SPROCKET DRIVE Using stainless steel roller chains and long-wearing sprockets * DUAL RANGE SPROCKETS Apply 85 to 305 lbs. per acre.in low range, or 175 to 640 lbs. per acre in high range (based on 60 lb. material). * 7” WIDE APRON of 304 stainless steel. * FEWER MOVING PARTS Maintenance costs will be lower because the SMC 1754 has fewer ,• moving parts than comparable spreaders. *‘TESTED & TESTED AGAIN Months were spent calibrating the spread pattern and testing the design before the Simonsen name went * AND MORE Other standard features include ei rope trip actuation of the press wheel drive system, all welded construction, a weight supporting vee over the apron, and Simonsen service. * OPTIONS All stainless steel hopper construction, dual 540/ 1000 rpm pto drive, ground drive on the distributor fan, a nylon tarp and special paint colors. iturday, August 29, 1987-C5 mi” r enjam urn ualizer chains
