Thompson Takes Honors At Potter County Dairy Show Top honors at the annual Potter County Open Dairy Show went to Donald Thompson, who manages Snyder Farms, Westfield. Don took the All Breed Champion, Grand Champion Female and Senior Champion Female with his three-year old Holstein Jim- Slocums Triple Charo. He received a silver tray from Head waters Production Credit for all breed champion and a desk set from Catelinn Farms, Rexville, N.Y., as Grand Champion Female Holstein. Snyder Farms won the premier breeder award, a desk set from Dan and Shirley Tice and Sons, and the premier exhibitor award, a desk set given by Snyder Farms, went to Donald Thompson. The Grand Champion Brown Swiss cow was Conover Hill Dona Gertrudis, a five-year-old cow, owned by Diane Prince, Shingle house. She received a desk set from Check-R-Board Feeds. Grand Champion Jersey was Edko Missy Yolanda Nippersink, shownby Jeremiah Kosa, Ulysses, and was a dry cow, four years and under. Jeremiah won a desk set, given by Allegen Farms. The Junior Champion Holstein was an Intermediate Yearling Dunlea Stony, shown by Scott A. Buch sen, Coudersport. Buchsen won a desk set given by Comstock Farms, Port Allegany, R.D. Reserve Champion Holstein and Reserve Grand Champion Holstein was Allegen Chairman Colene from Allegen Farms, Genesee. The reserve junior champion Holstein was Del- Hollow TT Coppcr-Red-ET-OC, owned by Dana Erway, Couders port, and shown by his son, Jesse. Kevin Risser. First place junior two year old went to Karl Torrey. Top senior two-year-old was Lock-Bur Ulti mate Hann, shown by Bailey View Farm. In the three year old class first place went to Jim-Slocums Triple Charo, shown by Donald Thompson, while the top four year-old was shown by Karl Tor rey. Leon Tice had the top five year old, F&F Lucky Creek Candy, while Donald Thompson had the top six years old and over, Ivajen Creek-Bluff Ina. Tice and Torrey are from Coudersport. Top produce of dam award went to Allegen Farms, exhibitor Kay Smoker while Karl Torrey took the top dam and daughter award. In the Brown Swiss division, Diane Prince took senior champ ion female and first place five year old cow with Conover Hill Dona Gertrudis, while Patrick Prince took reserve grand and senior champion with Conover Hill All Plus Queen. Diane also won the lam and daughter class and a blue ribbon for senior two year old with Prinfam Impro Foxy Lady. Patrick took a blue ribbon in the three year old class with Prin Fam King Kristie and in the intermedi ate yearling class with Prin Fam Dot Sweety. In the Jersey division, Jeremiah Kosa took senior and grand champion female with Edko Missy Yolanda Nippers ink, and the reserve grand champion was Rynell Barker, Ulysses, with Los Hill Benjamin Lola, a junior year ling which also took a blue ribbon in that class and was junior champ ion female.
