Stronger country market attitudes and good packer interest coupled with good movement of beef in both carcasses and boxes, prompted turn arounds in buyer bids at midweek. Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 higher, instances 4.00 higher. Slaughter Bulls 2.00 higher. Estimated 5 day receipts this week 6,700 compared to 4 day actual last holiday shortened week of 4,383 and 5 day actuals last year of 8,148. Slaughter steers ac counted for 49 percent of receipts, slaughter heifers 39 percent. Slaughter cows 9 percent and feeder cattle 1 percent.
