The John and Lois Miller family provided a musical program of song and instrumental numbers and concluded with a Christmas carol sing along. Denise Young gave devotions. During a short business meeting, president Khay Ruth handed the gavel over to Carol Byers. Other officers were sworn in and Lisa Coslett became a new member. She and her husband, Jeff, live in Holtwood. She is a home economics teacher in the Conestoga Valley school district. Members revealed secret pals during the party, played games and enjoyed delicious food. Khay Rutt won the guessing chance off. The next meeting will be held Jan. 19 at the home of Elaine Craig. The Society will review the by-laws and have a taffy pull. York Society 7 held a Christmas party at the United Church of Christ in Starview earlier this month. Fifteen members and 11 guests attended. Irene Rentzel read “The Meaning of a Candy Cane.” Anna Zinn celebrated her bnthday. The Gold Sifters from Mt. Wolf provided the entertainment and Santa Claus distributed gifts.
